At some point, we’ve all experienced the burning effects of the sun. Whether on vacation or daily walking in the city, and more in spring in which the solar radiation is particularly intense.
Despite that prevention is the best thing, it does not serve us welcome when the burns appeared already; what we require is to find a remedy for this situation immediately so calm the symptoms and discomfort on the skin.
There are natural ways to relieve sunburn pain, and help in the healing process of the body. Know them!
Compressed fresh milk
It is known that fatty acids and lactic acid in milk have soothing properties for sunburned skin.
Dip a soft cloth or cotton gauze in whole fresh milk and carefully applied to the injured area. Do this for 20 minutes, and then rinse with cold water, due to the importance of the fat content of milk, it is basic that is whole milk which is used in this treatment.
Iced tea
The tannins in tea are the active ingredient in this remedy, which helps to soothe and relieve some of the discomfort of sunburned skin.
After preparing a large pot of chamomile tea, let it cool completely, preferably add some ice to speed the process; anoint the affected areas with a soft sponge or washcloth.
Also, if you find it more convenient, you can fill a bottle with atomizer and spray the tea directly on the skin. Do not throw the tea bags or waste if you used the plant directly, they are particularly good for sensitive areas around the eyes, simply place the tea bags or a small poultice over the eyes if you feel hot and tired.
Aloe Vera
It is commonly used to treat sun burns. Besides providing soothing relief, it can also help in the process of healing. Apply to affected areas as needed. The gel extracted directly from aloe vera plant works best if you do not have access to, you can use a cream that contains this ingredient. To be effective, be sure that the cream has a high concentration.
Water
When exposed to the sun, your body loses water and essential salts. The dehydration occurs when the body loses too much fluid, and begins to reabsorb fluid from the blood and other body tissues. To avoid the consequences of dehydration, increase your fluid intake to adequately ensure that your body stays hydrated or are rehydrated for optimal recovery of the health of your skin.
