Beer is good pear of cholesterol


A recent study by the American Chemical Society notes that the beer is good for cholesterol in addition to be also good for the heart.


Toast with beer also protects against myocardial infarction and the study highlights that drinking a daily glass of beer produces biochemical changes in blood that help prevent the possibility of a heart attack.

A group of experts submitted 48 men with cardiovascular disease and an aged between the 46 to 72 years to a diet that included a single beer a day for a period of one month. Compared their evolution with the other group of similar characteristics that drank only water.

They found with surprise that beer drinkers had a more pronounced decrease cholesterol levels and increased antioxidant. The above mentioned study demonstrated, also, that moderate consumption of alcohol produces structural changes in fibrinogen, a protein responsible for blood clotting, inhibiting its clotting ability.

The researchers highlighted the fact that both the group consuming the beer as the that consumed water followed a heart-healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables. However, in the beer group increased more the HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol) and decreased the LDL (bad cholesterol), in addition to registering a higher antioxidant activity.
